This Amazon Big Spring Sale deal on a TV is remarkable: A Hisense 32″ LED television for $74.99—that’s cheaper than dinner and drinks in most U.S. cities. This isn’t going to be the greatest TV of all time, but from all available accounts, its at least a solid set. It’s an older model—released in 2020—but that means there are over 3,000 reviews on Amazon, and the score is a respectable 4.1 stars out of 5. Critics generally were positive when it first came out, too.
The screen is 32″ screen, so it’s big enough to be watchable, and the picture is 720p so it’s technically “high-def,” if not “full high-def.” It even comes with built-in Alexa and FireTV.
Bottom line: I could totally see having this in a bedroom as a second TV, as an interim TV while you wait to get your real set, or a TV if you’re the kind of person who low-key hates watching TV, but you don’t want to feel totally disconnected with the larger world. And hey, if it doesn’t work out, you’re not out too much money.
