Putting a camera inside a pair of headphones is quickly becoming less of a novelty and more of an actual product category. Razer showed off Project Motoko at CES 2026, VibeLens launched its MusicCam on Kickstarter last year, and even Apple is reportedly exploring camera-equipped AirPods. Rollme just threw its hat in the ring too, and its AirCam might be the most wallet-friendly option yet.

What does the AirCam actually offer?

For $79.99, you get an open-ear bone conduction headset with an 8 MP camera (Rollme hasn’t named the exact sensor), Wi-Fi 6, and onboard AI. The camera shoots 1080p video at 30fps with EIS and saves footage to 8 GB of internal storage.

That said, each clip is capped at 10 minutes, so you will have to start multiple recordings if you plan to capture a longer video. Photos and videos transfer over Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth. It uses touch controls to operate the camera. You can tap once to take a photo, double-tap to record video, and triple-tap to record audio.

Like every other product these days, there’s also an onboard AI. It can identify objects in real time and answer your questions. It can also handle real-time translation, which could come in handy for travelers or anyone navigating a language barrier. 

On the audio side, you get 16 mm Hi-Fi drivers, dual ENC mics for calls, and a 220 mAh battery rated for 10 hours of music or calls and 120 hours of standby. While we will have to test the headphones ourselves to say anything about the product quality, we cannot deny that AirCam is offering a lot for its price. 

How does it stack up against the competition?

The clearest rival is VibeLens’s MusicCam, which uses a rotating Sony sensor with 2K recording, six-axis stabilization, and 2.6 hours of continuous video recording. 

MusicCam can be found on Amazon for about $129, so the AirCam undercuts it significantly, even if the spec sheet explains why. If you are looking for an affordable earphone with built-in cameras, the Rollme AirCon seems to be a good choice.
