Samsung’s next budget fitness tracker may look a lot like its predecessor. Although the company has yet to share any details about the device, Android Authority has obtained videos showing the Galaxy Fit 4 in three colors, offering a closer look at a wearable that appears to retain the same basic design as the Galaxy Fit 3.
Samsung may be playing it safe with its next fitness band
According to Android Authority, the videos show the Galaxy Fit 4 in black, white, and light blue colorways. The footage offers a 360-degree look at the wearable, showcasing its display, frame, strap, and rear panel.
The tracker features a rectangular display with curved edges and a physical button on the right side. It sports a silicone strap with adjustment holes and a conventional buckle. The rear panel appears to have a familiar sensor layout, with no obvious exterior changes differentiating it from the Galaxy Fit 3.
Samsung has yet to confirm the device or reveal its specifications, but previous leaks have pointed to Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support and a possible Goodix GH3036 optical sensor for heart rate monitoring and health tracking. It remains unclear whether Samsung has made any meaningful hardware improvements.
Familiar looks leave questions about what’s new
The Galaxy Fit 3 launched in 2024 for around $60, offering an affordable way for Galaxy users to track workouts, activity, and sleep without paying a premium for a smartwatch. In our review, we praised its sleek design and value while noting limitations such as the lack of built-in GPS and restrictive software.
Those shortcomings give Samsung a clear opportunity to improve its successor. Built-in GPS would be a particularly useful addition for people who want to track outdoor workouts without carrying a phone. However, with the leak revealing few visible design changes, prospective buyers will have to wait for more details to see whether Samsung has addressed the Fit 3’s limitations.
